Function and meeting FacilityThe pavilion, with its Church Street entrance, will house a function centre, field-viewing areas, break-out/meeting rooms, commercial leases and South Canterbury Rugby Football Union’s offices. These will be constructed above eight gender-neutral changing rooms, referee changing rooms, first aid facilities and various storage areas.
The function centre comfortably seats 150 people and provides expansive corporate viewing over the park. Its design is flexible to cater for a number of scenarios: meetings, conferences and smaller functions. It is the centre of interlinking areas including a boardroom, a full commercial kitchen and connecting (yet separate) bar. It is envisaged that the services of an independent caterer will be made available for functions. The multipurpose function facility operates independently of the administration office space and potential onsite commercial tenants such as a physiotherapist and a rehabilitation gymnasium, subject to future consenting. It can be easily accessed via the eastern boulevard: a walkway that separates the number one and number two fields. The boulevard is flanked by 20 blade signs carrying corporate sponsorship. |
